Hello again! It has been a while! I hope everything is going well for you and that you have been enjoying Christine's blogs! Anyway, I am back today with this quick step by step breakdown of creating a promoted pin. We talked in the last article about why it is so beneficial and with little to no effort on your part. Without further ado, here is the guide to creating the pin!
Step 1: Log into your account and find either the 1. Plus sign near your account drop down or 2. The large Create an Ad pop up in your personal profile. Now remember you need to have a business account to create a promoted pin. So create that first then proceed with these steps. (Here is a helpful link to assist with that: https://help.pinterest.com/en/business/article/get-a-business-profile ).
Step 2: Click on Create Pin. A fill-in the blank window will prompt you to add in the Picture you would like to use and the link you want associated with that pin. And a brief description of the pin or what you would like to get across.
For our case we would go to our website and copy and paste the link. You could use your personal website as the "Website."
Step 4: Above is what everything should look like as it is being filled out. Click Done when finished. Then you will be prompted to choose a board.
Choose the board you feel the pin belongs in! It won't mess anything up if you choose the wrong one, because really there is no wrong.
Step 5: Now Click on "Promote your Pin"
Step 6: Pinterest will take you to a window where you will fill out subjects of your choice of how you want to promote this pin. It asks about the target audience and also the amount of money you want to put in to make sure it is seen by that audience. Also how long the pin will run for.
Step 7: Click "Promote" and you have created your Promoted Pin!
