One of our lives constant struggles is to live well in this world. One of the ways to live well, especially in Austin is to get a great job! Austin can be compared to California in its cost of living, which means it is higher than other places in Texas. However, Austin is considered one of the new tech cities in the United States. It is home to power houses such as Facebook, Samsung, Dell, and Google to name a few. We are a hub for engineers, scientists and techies from all over the world. And we are going to grow even more with new tycoons such as Apple and Amazon placing major offices in our city!
Now this means a lot of to Austinites. For the traffic, may be worse but for our economy and our business as Real Estate Agents, it can only get better! According to an article by CNBC “Amazon will reportedly add 800 jobs to its Austin, Texas, location focused on engineering, research science and cloud computing.” And Amazon recently acquired Whole Foods Market, a staple of Austin, which is also headquartered out of our amazing city. Amazon isn’t the only company making waves in our city, Apple is planning to add a new campus close the one they have already built in Austin: “The 133-acre campus will initially accommodate 5,000 additional employees, with the capacity to grow to 15,000, and is expected to make Apple the largest private employer in Austin.” (From Apple Newsroom).
Oh, and don’t forget that the Army Futures Command is also new to our city and has created about 500 new jobs. It has relocated about 100 soldiers and 400 civilians. We have no shortage of amazing jobs to choose from and as Austin grows so does your business. This influx of new people means new business, which means great things for us as a real estate company. Don’t forget to mingle and do what you can to market yourself!
Our economy is only going to get better and bring in new and exciting people to our city. The opportunities for jobs are endless. And all the opportunities for your real estate growth are also endless! I hope this has given you some inspiration and some insight on what to expect very soon!
