Round Rock, Texas is one of the many towns across America that is named after a specific geographical feature found within it, and in this case it’s just what you might expect - a round rock in the middle of Brushy Creek along the historic Chisholm Trail. While the rock itself isn’t particularly noteworthy, it does have some history behind it if you care to look into it and why it’s significant enough to be the namesake for this superb Austin-area town.
We happen to think Round Rock is a great place to live, and the Round Rock community and the value in Round Rock real estate are a big part of what makes locals here feel that way. And it would seem we’re not alone in that way of thinking; Round Rock has been designated a ‘super suburb’ and recognized as one of the most liveable towns in the country every year.
Impressive ethnic and economic diversity here drive much of the interest in Round Rock homes for sale, along with the fact that the median list price of homes in Round Rock is nearly $20 less per square foot on average than in Austin, and home values continue to increase year by year.
The variety of homes within the current real estate market inventory, particularly for detached single-family homes is a big part of what makes Round Rock real estate especially appealing for prospective homebuyers looking to be near Austin, Texas.
Homebuyer value? Check. Liveability? Check. Bigger city proximity? Check.
But what about plenty in the way of things to see and do, you ask? Yep, that’s a part of living in Round Rock too. Read on!
