Christmas is here!

I am so grateful to each and every one of you who have made this year such a blessed one. This newsletter has grown a lot over the past year, and I am honored to put it together each month. It started because I love this city, and I love helping others discover it through this little monthly glimpse. I hope you have enjoyed reading them as much as I have enjoyed creating them.

I wish everyone a wonderful holiday season, full of joy, family, and peace.

Merry Christmas!

with love,
Jan

Satisfy your sweet tooth at Sweet Serendipity!index.jpg

Walking into this gorgeous store will take your breath away. The sweets display case alone is a wonder, but Sweet Serendipity is more than just a candy shop. They have cakes, and pies for order (and I can say firsthand that the Apple pie is downright magical!).

If you're in the mood for a scoop of ice cream, they have that too! But that's not all. You will find lovely wines, custom gift baskets, gourmet foods and crackers, and a positively stunning display of seasonal decor. The friendly people there will help you select just the right gifts for that hard to buy for person, and a store that offers chocolate covered bottles of wine knows what they're talking about!

10 years on the square, and it's the still the sweetest thing.

Kid, or just kid at heart.
IMG-2437.JPG
All Things Kids is quite simply, delightful. You won't find video game consoles, or complicated electronics of any kind. This is a kinder, simpler toy store. Interactive toys that stimulate the imagination take center stage here.

Classic children's books that we parents enjoyed as children ourselves line the shelves in their book section. They even offer child care for date night once a week. And through the holiday season, they plan fun projects for kids to enjoy in their art room. Kids might even catch a glimpse of Santa while their parents catch a glimpse of their own childhoods in the variety of timeless toys.

Spice things up this Christmas!

Need something a little more mild? Well, they can help you with that, too. Mikey has been winning all kinds of awards for his innovative sauces, and he keeps coming up with new ones all the time. They always offer samples of their award winning sauces, as well as other locally curated sauces, jellies and jams. You can find exactly what you're looking for and help Keep Georgetown Spicy.
