I don't even know where to begin with this beauty! Okay, be honest with me, you were out last night buying gifts? I knew it! But it’s okay, so was I! The holidays creep up on all of us so quickly. I still don’t have the planning down to start buying in September. So, I put together this list of quick desserts to at least take one thing off your to-do list. And FYI they are all basically chocolate based… Sorry not sorry! Enjoy!

Peppermint Bark- Simple and Easy thanks to Delish!

This quick dessert is mixing and pouring into a pan and refrigerating. The article says you can make a batch in 10 minutes! I will not claim that but it could happen!

Reindeer Brownies- this will make the kids want to help, cutting down on your work time! All thanks to FoodNetwork!

Who can forget deviled eggs with a Holiday twist?! 



  • 6 hard-boiled eggs, cooled and peeled
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground mustard
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • Red food coloring
  • Green food coloring
  • Water


  1. Cut eggs in half lengthwise and scoop out the yolks into a bowl
  2. Stir in mayonnaise, mustard, salt and pepper
  3. Put 5 drops of red food coloring into a bowl of water and 5 green into another bowl of water. Place the egg whites into the colored water and allow to sit in the water until the eggs are the shade you like
  4. Pat the colored eggs dry
  5. Fill the egg whites with the egg mayonnaise mixture
  6. Arrange on

After all the hustle and bustle of preparing for Christmas, Moms it is time to relax! Settle into your Christmas Day with a Christmas Mimosa!

  • 1 (750mL) bottle champagne
  • 3/4 cup cranberry, blood orange or pomegranate juice (your preference!)
  • rosemary springs, for garnish
  • sugared cranberries for garnish

  • 4 ounces fresh cranberries
  • 1 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup water


Add an ounce or so of juice to the bottom of a champagne flute. Fill it up with champagne, garnish with rosemary and sugared cranberries, and serve!

Mom's Sweet Potato Bake


  • 3 cups cold mashed sweet potatoes (prepared without milk or butter)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup 2% milk
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons cold butter


  • 1. In a large bowl, beat the sweet potatoes, sugar, eggs, milk, butter, salt and vanilla until smooth. Transfer to a greased 2-qt. baking dish. 
  • 2. In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, pecans and flour; cut in butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over potato mixture. Bake, uncovered, at 325° for 45-50 minutes or until a

Christmas is a time for giving and I absolutely love filling stockings with mini gifts that fill the heart with joy! It was our family tradition to open our stocking stuffers on Christmas Eve. Then we were rushed off to bed so Santa can come for cookies and fill the floor with presents under the tree. When I was about 5, I remember sleeping over at my Grandmother’s house on Christmas Eve. In the middle of the night I heard a “Ho Ho Ho” and still believe it was the man himself, Mr. Santa Claus.
